On 2001, when the Royal Netherlands Air Force presented its new demo F-16, the J-16, wear a never seen modern style scheme, especially on a fighter !
Silver front, set of curved black bands separated by different shades of gray, the bottom receives the same bands strictly opposite to the top. The result is a very successful anti-camouflage, which will take place at many air shows in Europe, in the hands of its pilots : - Captain Richard « Tomba » Buijs (2001/2002) - Captain Christian « Louis » van Gestel (2003/2004).
The J-016 will be replaced by the J-055 in 2005, then the J-015 in 2009, both with most of anti-camouflaged scheme (voir Syhart 019) et Syhart 055).
